Exquisite. That's the first word that comes to mind when stepping into the Tokyo Inn, Japanese steakhouse and seafood restaurant -- with it's beautiful stained light oak decor, etched glass windows, Japanese tapestries and cool tile floor.

With strains of traditional Japanese folk music softly playing in the background, you will feel almost transported. As soon as you step inside, you'll come upon the restaurant's elegant sushi bar and a solid oak bar area where you can sit and order a drink. (The restaurant is fully licensed to serve beer, wine and cocktails.) Looking past the bar, you'll spy sleek black granite counters that surround stainless steel hibachis. Go ahead, count them. There are 16 large hibachi tables occupying two generous sized rooms.

George Cheung, Manager

Like others waiting to be seated, you too can stand not far from a table of diners and shamelessly watch one of the Tokyo Inn's hibachi chefs perform his magic. Judging from the faces of those for whom these chefs are cooking, you won't be the only one who feels transported. Watching and eating -- a total dining experience. Manager George Cheung explains: "Our Asian chefs are well trained. The hibachi is a delicious and entertaining way to bring the kitchen to you."

Tokyo Inn is one of the only traditional Japanese restaurants in the area. Ever since it opended it's doors January 13, 2003, Friday and Saturdays have been packed with people looking for a delicious and elegant dining experience. Fresh food (all the meat, seafood and produce are brought in daily) is the most important ingredient.

A colorful menu offers a wide selection of sushi, sashimi and hibachi meals, as well as hot entrees such as tempura and teriyaki. Most meals come with soup, salad and steamed rice-all at fixed prices. Side orders and appetizers such as maki sushi (rolls) and nigiri sushi (fresh seafood) are also available. During lunchtime, the restaurant offers a 20 percent discount on all sushi and sashimi orders.

The artistry of Tokyo Inn's hibachi chefs is out of this world.

The restaurant's take-out menu is every bit as extensive, and includes a children's menu and specials. While the Tokyo Inn does not cater outside events, it will create delicious and eye-catching party trays of fresh sushi and sashimi. The beautiful Tokyo Inn also is available for special occasions and will take a free Polaroid picture of each party to help celebrate memorable events.

During lunchtime, the restaurant offers a 20 percent discount on all sushi and sashimi orders.
