Our students know they can
learn!
For many children, school has become a daily struggle. A weakness
in just one academic area is all it takes to cause a child to
fall behind in all of his or her studies. Frustrated and unable
to keep up in class, poor performance extinguishes motivation
and leads to a continued cycle of failure. At Huntington, our
teachers are able to break this failure chain and provide the
remediation needed to bolster weak skill areas. Children see
steady progress. Confidence begins to grow. And when students
believe in themselves, anything is possible.
Huntington is focused on education
Since 1977, the Huntington Learning Center has helped tens
of thousands of students strengthen their skills and spark their
desire to learn. By adhering to one basic principle-help children
to reach their full potential-we have grown from one center to
over 100 centers nationwide. Our certified educators are dedicated
to the success of Huntington students.
Individualized Attention
Because every child has different needs, our programs are
custom made. We not only work on developing a child's academic
skills, but on improving his or her attitude towards both school
and learning. Unlike traditional tutoring, which is meant to
help students through a particular subject, learning at Huntington
helps a child improve in all areas.
Skill-Building Instruction
Students work at their own pace with materials geared to their
particular needs, maturity and academic level. Throughout the
program, parents can expect to be involved and informed of their
child's progress with periodic conferences.
A Nurturing Environment
Our work areas are designed to eliminate the competitive atmosphere
associated with many traditional classrooms. Children work with
certified teachers and receive individualized instruction. By
removing the fear of failure, frightened, insecure children become
friendly, confident and eager to learn. And parents are rewarded
with the satisfaction of seeing young minds turned on to learning.
