"Another plus is how we fit our tax
work schedule around our clients' needs," Jim continues.
"For 20 years it has been the aim of our business to satisfy
the needs and wishes of our clients," he adds, "so
we offer convenient appointment times to fit all schedules."
"One hundred percent client satisfaction
is our company goal, and we believe we meet it," Jim continues.
Jim is an Enrolled Agent (EA), licensed
by the Internal Revenue Service to represent clients before any
part of the IRS, although he's quick to point out that he has
never had to accompany a client to an audit.
Since 1982, Jim has been preparing federal
taxes-individual, self-employed, partnership, corporation, fiduciary
and gift taxes-for clients in Northern Virginia, suburban Maryland
and DC. The firm also prepares state taxes for all states and
submits both federal and state returns by electronic filing ensuring
speed and accuracy.
In 1997, his daughter, Julie Piché
of Fairfax Station, joined the company and they later formed
a partnership. Julie has a Master's Degree in Business, has completed
the requirements for her EA license, and is a 1999 diplomate
of the College for Financial Planning.
Besides tax services, Julie and her father
offer clients comprehensive financial planning services-including
cash management and budgeting, risk management and insurance
planning, education planning and income splitting, retirement
planning and estate planning.
"I truly enjoy working with clients
on their taxes and turning their financial dreams into reality,"
Julie notes. She points out that since their office is home-based,
they don't have to worry about rent, utilities and other overhead
expenses. This keeps costs down and client fees competitively
low.
"Since we are home-based, we see clients
only by appointment," Julie adds. This means easy parking
is always available and clients don't have to wait. "We
treat each client's time as their most valuable asset and always
strive to be efficient and prompt," she asserts. "This
is proven by the firm's long list of clients who return year
after year."

Julie and Jim review a client's
data to be sure they have covered all her deductions.
Jim and Julie rely on professional tax
return preparation computer software to provide trouble-free
tax preparation services. Every client is sent an organizer each
year that helps them get materials ready for tax time, speeds
the annual tax appointment and makes the process more efficient.
They also belong to three preparer organizations
that offer training and research help: the National Association
of Enrolled Agents, the National Association of Tax Professionals
and the National Society of Tax Professionals. The expertise
in these organizations is readily available to verify their solutions
to the toughest tax problems.
Each of these groups requires them to complete
annual refresher training in new tax laws and rules and the IRS
requires 72 hours of this education in every three-year cycle.
Jim and Julie meet or beat these requirements every year, meaning
they are always up to date on the latest developments.
Why should you choose Foster Financial
Group to prepare your tax returns and financial plans? For proven
reliability, years of experience, superior qualifications, unequaled
diversity and reasonable fees. But most important, for your peace
of mind, confidence in the quality and professionalism of Jim
and Julie's work, and the personal touch that marks their work.
