Sample Real American Flavor and Value

Hungry but too tired to cook?  Sick of ordering out or picking up greasy fast food?  Don't worry about getting dressed up or having to make reservations (although they'll be glad to take them). Just stop in at the nearest DAKS Grill for a delicious, hearty meal. There's something for everyone at DAKS-from thick, hand-cut New York steaks and "loaded" potato skins to Cajun-style dirty chicken and linguine. DAKS' home-made soups, such as their trademark French onion soup, and their seafood dishes and fresh salads will help folks keep those New Year's resolutions. And, vegetarians and others with special dietary requirements won't be hungry either.  Since every meal is made from scratch, DAKS can accommodate specific requests.

DAKS brings its own flair to great American food from all parts of the country. "We develop our own recipes for favorite dishes, recipes that we use in each of our three area restaurants," says Barry Clark, one of DAKS' three owners.

Dine in elegance at Daks I.

For example, DAKS features zesty Cajun dishes such as jambalaya, pan-fried catfish, blackened chicken and grilled pork chops. It also offers a number of Tex Mex favorites: chili so satisfying it's known as "lunch in a bowl;" mouth watering chicken quesadillas, and nachos with all the toppings. DAKS' diverse menu includes traditional southern fare such as delicious baby back ribs, honey barbecue pork chops and even meatloaf!  Seafood lovers can choose from a wide selection, including blackened or grilled tuna steak, salmon filets prepared to order, and grilled shrimp-to name just a few.

As the name and logo would imply (a thick steak with a frosty mug of beer), DAKS specializes in steaks of all shapes and sizes. Customers can choose from a variety of hand-cut steaks:  peppered strip with a Béarnaise sauce; New York strip; filet mignon; Delmonico (cut to order); rib eye; top sirloin, and even a sirloin marinated in DAKS' own secret blend of ingredients. Best of all, every entrée comes with a crisp garden salad or cup of the soup of the day, a garden fresh vegetable and a choice of potato. Quality and value don't get much better than this.

Customers can order anything on the menu from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 a.m. Even folks sitting at DAKS' fully stocked bar can order a complete meal in the middle of the afternoon or late into the evening. This makes DAKS the perfect place to bring a date before or after a show or movie.

With all the regular customers, DAKS has a fun, neighborhood atmosphere. Part of DAKS' appeal stems from the friendly attitude and enthusiasm shared by the employees. Owners and employees often donate their time and energy to supporting numerous causes and community events.  All three restaurants are committed to the communities in which they are located. Most of all, DAKS Grill is committed to offering the best possible food at reasonable prices. DAKS has an enormous catering menu and even offers fixed price menus for banquets organized in the restaurant. Both of these menus, as well as DAKS' regular menu, may be viewed on DAKS' website www.daksgrill.com.

"No matter which restaurant our customers visit, they can expect the same great food served in the same relaxed atmosphere," says Clark.  "That's because DAKS Grill takes pride being a neighborhood establishment with a great reputation." Much of that reputation began when the very first DAKS Grill opened its doors in Falls Church 13 years ago. The reputation grew to include the restaurant on Richmond Highway just south of Alexandria that opened nine years ago and the newest restaurant in Dale City, which has been open for five years.

All three restaurants are open 11:30 a.m.-2:00 a.m. Monday through Saturday and 4:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. on Sunday.  All offer a 20 percent early dinner discount on all entrees served from 3:30- 5:30 p.m.
