Proudly displayed on the walls of B&B Upholstery on Telegraph
Road in Alexandria are the autographed photos of Presidents Bush
and Reagan, demonstrating their appreciation for upholstery jobs
well done. Owners Byung Lee and his son, Tae H. Lee, pride themselves
on giving the same attention to detail and expert workmanship
to each and every customer as they did for the distinguished
residents of the White House. Both master craftsmen, Mr. Lee
and son, Tae, insist that each piece of furniture meet their
high standards. Prior to opening B&B Upholstery & Furniture
12 years ago, Byung Lee had worked for Woodward and Lothrop and
with 20 years experience in the upholstery business has become
a leader in the field of custom made furniture.
Shopping for furniture can often be frustrating, especially
if you're looking for a particular color or fabric that will
fit perfectly with your decorating ideas. Family pieces that
we treasure may seem out of place in our scheme of things, or
may be too shabby and worn to be properly displayed. B&B
can restore those cherished pieces to their original beauty and
even beyond.

B&B Upholstery can custom-make any piece of furniture
to your specifications. You provide the imagination, they do
the work. Simply pick out the style, fabric and color and they'll
work within your guidelines, and usually for less than you'd
pay for a brand new item at a retail furniture store. The basic
frame in solid wood (oak, maple or cherry, or any particular
wood of your choice) is ordered by B&B Upholstery from the
manufacturer and then skillfully, as an artist would apply paints
to a canvas, they will create a masterpiece. First, they will
sand and finish the exposed wood, smoothing it to a lustrous
patina, then install the webbing, springs, padding, cushions
and finally, the fabric covers.
Byung Lee says that he will do whatever it takes to make sure
his clients are satisfied and happy with the finished product
which is why his clients come back time and time again.

Byung Lee, owner of B & B gives the same attention to
detail and expert workmanship to each and every customer -- just
as he did for the distinguished residents of the White House
-- Presidents Bush and Reagan.
I visited a large home in Reston, recently, that was filled
with antique and family heirlooms that had been preserved and
exquisitely displayed for the enjoyment of all who visited. It
was as if the pieces were alive and had a story to tell. No matter
what style or make of furniture you have in mind, B&B Upholstery
can help custom-make that sofa, chair or chaise lounge for a
reasonable price. If you're looking for a Chippendale, Queen
Anne, Victorian or Modern style, B&B has it. They'll give
you a free estimate. They'll pickup and deliver your piece and
custom make or re-upholster an existing sofa, chair or headboard
and even make slipcovers. The same degree of quality goes into
Mr. Lee's re-upholstery work as he inspects the padding and looks
at the springs and the frame to make sure there are no hidden
problems. He'll touch up in a few places as needed at no additional
charge. If on closer inspection, a major overhaul is required,
then Mr. Lee will talk to you about the problem and recommend
the best way to correct it. Byung Lee and his son will keep the
customer informed every step of the way in order to keep that
customer satisfied.
Why not visit the B&B Upholstery showroom and take a look
at the beautiful custom made furniture on display there. If you're
looking for decorating ideas, a trip to this unique shop might
just help.
